As a Loyola alum, I have to agree, Fortunato's is amazing..

As a resident of 5 years post-college, I also have to heavily recommend:

Brooksides (Owings Mills)
Vitos (VERRRRRY good - Hooks Ln, Pikesville and I believe other locations)
Last but not least: Paolino's in the Bank of America Center downtown (Lombard & Charles)...Sicilian, Thin Crust, garlic knots...not quite Ray's original, but EXCELLENT nonetheless!

Pizza Speranza is pretty decent in the Charles Center food court. Other than that, Fortunados is a definite win.

And you're right. But at Fortunatos I go for the tomato bread, a Dan Rodricks favorite.

My wife's elemnentary school is on the Pasta Mista Board Plan.

You guys have to try Pasta Mista. They have a location in Towson close to the mall and one in Canton by the new CareFirst building. The owners are brothers from Naples and know how to make a mean pie!

Fortunatos Brothers Pizza in York Road Plaza gets all of my (pizza) calories. It was once voted Baltimore's Best. You can't go wrong with either cheese or pepperoni.

Just great. Now there will be more people with noisy kids disturbing my peace as I sink my teeth into my favorite pie.

You let the secret out re: IG; even my NYC son insists it's the best pizza he's ever had. First place he wants to visit when he comes home from the City.
