		<description>I&#039;m not sure the Red Line is even all that great for developers, other than whoever owns the vacant/underutilized land south of Franklin Street around Warwick in Calverton where the railcars would be stored and serviced.

It&#039;s not as if, once the Red Line goes through, financiers will suddenly be at Ed Hale&#039;s door vying to write a check to build out Canton Crossing. As planned, that development is as car-centric as they come these days. I mention CC since that, the proposed Highlandtown Lofts around the old Crown Cork and Seal factory, and Uplands in West Baltimore are about the only decent developable parcels along the entire route ... and the Red Line isn&#039;t really a factor in their development.</description>

		<description>I tend to agree with much of this post....the entire point of a mass transit system is that it is speedier and more efficient for people than cars....if this isn&#039;t the case, then what are we doing?  I also think an east-west line could be good, but the current route isn&#039;t right, unless it is underground</description>
