The Baltimore Sun had a story Friday on discussions about possible mass layoffs at the Sparrows Point steel mill, confirming what The Brew reported on Sept. 17.
Not mentioned in the Sun story: Severstal has already terminated about 125 supervisory positions at the mill.
Transportation officials don’t like it, but Hampden residents are apparently fed up – they want cross-walks repainted on The Avenue and if the city’s not going to maintain the crosswalks on this busy north Baltimore street, they’re doing it themselves.
