Why would the gift givers give multiple gift cards for the same store of small denominations to the Mayor, when in fact they could have given one large gift card? If the gifts were intended for the Mayor, I would think that $100 gift cards or bigger, if they exist, would have been given to her. Something seems wrong, when the Mayor has to use twelve gift cards to buy one item. Don't the amount and number of gift cards for the same store that were given tell a story for who the cards were intended? I don't think they were intended for the Mayor.

What type of organization gives gifts to the needy without enclosing a covering letter for income tax purposes. I know there are altruists in this world but I doubt most developers would fall in this category.

The more I think about it the more ludicrous it becomes that these cards were meant for the needy.

Wow - Great detail - Sounds like another witch hunt .. Let's see ..Let's spend hundreds of thousands of Tax payer dollars to prosecute one of the truly good mayors ..who potentially mistakenly spent $1500. dollars intended for the needy..Where is the sense of priority in our prosecutors?..I seem to remember a similar situation in the 90s where Ken Starr spent on the order of 15 million tax payer dollars to prosecute Bill Clinton for White Water (aka Biggest Witch Hunt on record)That particular witch hunt ended up revealing that the Clinton's did absolutely nothing wrong. In addition to Ken Starr's total waste of tax payers dollars, he imprisoned a witness for over a year because she would not falsely testify against Clinton...WHAT A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME, RESOURCES AND TAX PAYER MONEY..There needs to be a common sense prioritization process that keeps these witch hunts from happening ..There are so many other fish to fry that actually warrant it!!!..

I love a read that I can sink my teeth into. Sheila D doesn't have a chance of turning the public's opinion with writing like this.
