In the wake of Skateworks rape, principal says he’s “no longer an owner” of the rink
With The Baltimore Sun reporting grim details of Saturday’s alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl at Skateworks, the Baltimore city school principal who was an owner of the violence-ridden Baltimore County roller rink appears to be cutting ties with the place.
A correction appended to today’s Sun story about the case notes that Barney Wilson “no longer is an owner.” Wilson was the principal of Baltimore’s elite Polytechnic High School and one of the owners of the business, which county officials threatened to shutter in April in the face of scores of complaints of fighting and shootings. He has since been reassigned to serve as principal of Reginald F. Lewis High School.
Police have arrested three people in the case.
