Roger L. Loughry, a candidate for mayor in 1999, was sentenced to 30 years in a federal prison yesterday for allegedly helping run an online message board called “Cache,” which featured millions of pornographic photos of children. According to the Associated Press, Loughry claimed that he only participated in order to help destroy the pornography ring, whereas Loughry’s attorney told the court that Loughry was mentally ill. Clearly neither defense held up, and Loughry was sentenced on Wednesday along with another man from Carterville, IL.
