Wednesday’s storm has been classified as an official tornado, according to the National Weather Service. The Sun’s Frank Roylance reports that it’s the fifth tornado in Baltimore City since 1973.  Maryland’s last tornado before the one this week was in Anne Arundel County on Sept. 30.
