If you missed a chance to peek inside the amazingly embellished and art-filled rowhouses of Baltimore’s Loring Cornish when The Brew’s Mark Reutter profiled him last November, you’re in luck.
The Jewish Museum of Maryland is about to unveil a new exhibit of Cornish’s work: ” Loring Cornish: In Each Other’s Shoes.” The show featuring the visionary artist’s latest work runs from Feb. 13 through July 17 and there’s a reception at the museum (15 Lloyd Street | Baltimore) on Sunday Feb. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Part of the museum’s celebration of its 50th anniversary year, “In Each Other’s Shoes” will “explicitly acknowledge the shared Jewish and African-American heritage of the Lloyd Street neighborhood,” according to the museum’s website.
The exhibition will include more than 20 large works, a video interview with the artist, and an interpretive brochure. For more information, 410-732-6400, or visit the website, www.jewishmuseummd.org
