No injuries, serious damage reported from quake
There have been no injuries reported in Baltimore from the earthquake of an hour ago, the police department said on Twitter.
The fire department has not received any reports of injuries or structural damage to buildings in Baltimore. People are leaving their offices early, including city workers.
MARC, light rail and subway operations were temporarily suspended.
The quake took place at 1:51 pm and was centered near Richmond, VA., said the U.S. Geological Survey.
