“Wow, what a day today,” first-year teacher Chip Dizard said, in one of his weekly video blogs on life as a first-year media production teacher in a Baltimore high school.

What happened? One of Dizard’s students wrote on the screen of a school iMac with a Sharpie and something about that just set Dizard off.

“It’s crazy out here,” Dizard said, and a lot more after that. Listen to what Dizard told his kids, and what he more or less told himself as he made the video on his back porch, before going inside to “make dinner for my kids.”
