Hammer coming down at Occupy Baltimore or a false alarm?

Police with the letters S-W-A-T on their shirts showed up today at McKeldin Square, according to the Occupy Baltimore media team and our source at Occupy. They spray painted what the Occupiers are describing as “riot markers” on the ground. The Sun meanwhile says via Twitter that police deny this, but Occupy has tweeted a “tonight’s the night” message. Stay tuned . . .

* Feud between Frank Conaway Sr. and Adam Meister turning all Itchy & Scratchy on us?

Meister says he was jogging past Conaway’s 3210 Liberty Heights Rd. property this morning, encountered Conaway and “shared some words about his daughter’s frivolous lawsuit,” and that the 78-year-old “close[d] his fist and swung his arm in my direction.”

A police spokesman told the Sun that a firearm was brandished by Conaway, who in turn confirmed to the Sun that he carries one but says he didn’t do any brandishing.

Now, Baltimore City Paper has a version from bail bondsman Mark Adams with many of the same elements, but adds a story that Meister threw a karate kick in Conaway’s direction.
