Your Balto Brew mugs are here!
Breaking news from the Better-Late-Than-Never Department – we’ve got the coffee mugs we offered to $50-or-more contributors to this year’s Brew Kickstarter campaign.
As promised, we’ll be handing them out at a “Mug-a-Rama” event:
Come get your mug from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 24, at the Bohemian Coffee House at 1821 N. Charles St.
We’ll have the mugs, and the nifty new Brew bumper stickers you get, too. If you can’t make it on this date, no problem, we’ll have another one. But we sure hope you can come to this one. The Brew staff will be there and it should be a lot of fun.
It’s our way of saying thank you for your unbelievable support during our hugely successful Kickstarter campaign. We’re finally, now, getting around to all these rewards and appreciate your patience with our tardy ways.
• Last week we mailed out bumper stickers to every less-than-$25 supporter whose snail mail address we have. (If you contributed at that level and don’t see your bumper sticker in the mail in the next week, email your address to us at editors@baltimorebrew.com and we’ll send it.)
• For the $75-level and all the levels above that, we’re scheduling the Brew staff meeting, Book Breakfast, dinner, bike ride, etc. So watch for your invite. (You guys all get mugs too and if want yours right away, feel free to come to the Mug-A-Rama. We have the list of who gave what.)
• We’ll be publishing the names of everybody who contributed at any level (who wants to be recognized), so watch for that on the website. That’s a long list! It includes the 40 people who contributed small amounts under $25 – we appreciate every penny you kindly sent! (If we miss you, or if you have any questions about these rewards, email us at editors@baltimorebrew.com. Put “kickstarter” in the subject line.)
We’re really looking forward to thanking you in person and chatting about whatever is on your mind – our site, our design, the city, our coverage, EWOs, audits, steel, sonnets, you name it.
Commenters and supporters like you are a VERY important part of The Brew Crew, as you know – extended family-members, really. We think it’s high time for a non-virtual family get-together!
Best,
Fern Shen, Mark Reutter, Meredith Mitchell and Ben Kutil
PS: A loud shout-out, btw, to those notorious hipsters over at Post Typography who designed our mugs and bumper stickers. (We hope Bruce and Nolen will be at the Mug-a-Rama too!)
