While we were waiting for the big mass wedding in Druid Hill Park (celebrating the passage of marriage equality in Annapolis and subsequent affirmation of it at the ballot box) when we remembered the other special celebration today – Father’s Day.

In search of a father-and-son photo, I soon found some mellow and obliging subjects, enjoying the music and awaiting the historic doings: Angelo Lucco, Jonathan Nelson and Michael Nelson.

They were sitting on the grass along with many others taking in the Pride Festival, the traditional Day Three of Baltimore’s annual weekend of LGBTQ festivities. The Baltimore County family has been to previous Pride Festivals but was looking forward today to getting that extra dose of history.
